Humans of Kegworth: Helen, President of the P&C

#Humans of Kegworth

How long have you been a human of Kegworth?

Since 2018! Harry started Kindy then (and is now in grade 5) and I also have Theo who is in grade 2 this year.

What do you love most about the school?

I really love that Kegworth is a small school so it gives us a chance to connect with most parents – it’s just a really warm and lovely community to be part of.

What inspired you to join Kegworth P&C?

I got involved last year because I felt that it was probably about time – ha! It was a steep learning curve, but honestly so great to get to know and work with other parents across the school; as well as put on some great events for Kegworth and get people to re-engage with each other again after Covid.

What do you do with your time when you are not at Kegworth?

I work at the Powerhouse Museum – I’m the Head of the project to relocate the Museum’s collection to our new purpose-built storage facility at Castle Hill. We also completed a reno on our house during Covid. I love a Project! Aside from that, I’ve recently learnt to play netball as an adult, love exploring new parts of Sydney and enjoy having friends over – who doesn’t love a party?
