Covid-19 Update And What You Can Do To Help Our Community

So, in case you haven’t realised, we’re in lockdown. Again. And whilst we are doing a lot better than last time, I think it’s safer this way, even if it sucks. So, good call, government. A lot of people haven’t been taking this seriously, though, and that’s not okay. People have died because of this. It’s not a joke. Please please please take it seriously!

So, if you’re a kid reading this, you might be wondering what we can do to help. Well, try to keep updated on news, whether that’s via sites like BTN and Kegworth times, or your parents.

If you’re over 10, it’s a good idea to wear a mask in public, at least inside shops and buildings. Just because kid’s have a lower chance of getting the virus, doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t wear a mask anyway. You don’t have to wear it every time you exit the house, but it’s a good idea if you live with people over 60, or with people who have weaker immune systems.

You should also try to sanitise and wash your hands A LOT. I know it makes your skin dry, but it’s a super important way to help stop the spread.

The final thing is to have fun. Try to be positive. Don’t fall into the hole of negativity. Optimism is super important, because if you aren’t okay mentally, that’s almost as bad as being sick yourself.

Stay safe guys, we CAN get through this. Please stay at home, wear a mask and sanitise your hands. The more we do this, the quicker we can get out of this, and the better it will be in the future.
