How long have you been a human of Kegworth?
I began teaching at Kegworth at the beginning of 2019 prior to that I was teaching at a school in the Eastern suburbs for 3 years, before that in Sydney’s outer western suburbs. Overall I have 17 years of teaching experience. I was a mature aged university student and mum and I left the digital technology world to join the teaching world.
What do you love most about the school?
I am always amazed at all the hard work and extra curriculum activities that staff and parents are involved with at Kegworth. I love the kids at this school, they are kind, respectful and always willing to help. I am very fortunate to have been placed at Kegworth Public school.
Is Kegworth anything like the primary school that you went to?
No. I went to a gorgeous primary school in Sydney’s outer west which was very multicultural. Most of the parents were newly established migrants who did not speak any English, including my parents. The school was surrounded by bushland and vacant land with a creek running towards the back of the school.
What do you do with your time when you are not busy at Kegworth?
When I am not at Kegworth I am spending time with my family and friends. I love going to the beach, kayaking, bush walking and watching NRL/Soccer. I enjoy reading and watching movies and cannot wait till COVID travel restrictions are over so I can start traveling overseas again.
