We Tried The Inner West Bear Hunt

By Alexandra from Kegworth PS

We went on our first Bear Hunt on the 25th of March. Unfortunately, we didn’t find any bears (other than ours) but we did count 3 ambulances, 5 dogs and 2 cats.

We did our second Bear Hunt of the 26th of March and found 5 bears, 2 bunnies, a fluffy toy dog and a bottle of beer in peoples windows.

Since schools around the world are shutting down, going on a bear hunt is a good way to keep children excited and interested when going on walks and bike rides around their neighbourhood.

If you would like to be involved please put a teddy bear, bunny rabbit or other soft toy in your window so other children can count them when they are out for a walk or bike-ride.

I would really like to know if you find any bears or bunnies on your bear hunt adventures. Please post comments and pictures of the bears you see in the comments section.

PS Parents – If you don’t have any soft toys feel free to put a bottle of beer in your window or you could always draw a bear or some people are also drawing rainbows:)

If you want to play along you can access a map of local bears here.
